CITROËN 2011 Handica Show

CITROËN AT 2011 HANDICA SHOW

The Handica Show, targeting professionals and private individuals, showcases the latest advances in products, services and innovations for people with disabilities. CITROËN once again took part in this key event, held from 8 to 10 June at the Eurexpo centre in Lyon.

CITROËN presented part of its offer for transporting people with reduced mobility, along with driving aids for people with disabilities.

CITROËN displayed three vehicles:
  • a CITROËN C4 VTi 120 with an automatic gearbox and driving aids, for people who cannot use their legs. The accelerator is controlled by a circle on the steering wheel, whiles the brakes are right-hand operated. The vehicle keeps its original controls, so it can be used by any other driver,
  • a CITROËN Berlingo HDi 92 Multispace, refitted to transport a person in a wheelchair. Access is by the rear, enhanced by pneumatic suspension and a fold-away ramp,
  • a CITROËN Jumpy Atlante HDi 120, which also features pneumatic rear suspension and a fold-away ramp.
Coachbuilders and converters, which partner CITROËN in transport for people with reduced mobility and driving aids, also displayed converted CITROËN vehicles on their stands.

With its recent and diverse range of passenger cars and light commercial vehicles and through its numerous partnerships with specialised companies, CITROËN is able to respond to the majority of needs in the transport of people with reduced mobility and in driving aids for people with disabilities.
